Office Painting is Finished!

We finally settled on a color and finished the painting in our office/playroom.
Just for a reminder, here's the before-

and a few afters-

The color is "Wrought Iron" by Martha Stewart mixed in Glidden.

I still need to switch out some accessories, style the bookshelves and hang things on the walls, but we're really liking the change.

Here was my dilemma-this is what I thought I would love for a fun punch of color.
It's called "Realm" by Behr.

I was unsure as it started going on but kept thinking..."maybe another coat and it will look better."  I mean, look how cute it is in this bathroom:

When we were finished we felt like we were underwater. Seriously, at night the entire room would have a greenish-blue glow.

Sometimes now matter how many colors you consider or how many samples you try, it still comes out wrong.  Oh well, one more gallon and another hour spent re-painting and we had something we were happy with.  We also did switch to flat paint rather than the eggshell and that helped tremendously on the ceiling.

Here's what I'm the most excited about in the new room-

I DIY'd a drum shade for my chandy!
I'll tell you more about it and show you how I did it tomorrow.
Happy Monday!
